In most cases your health insurance has a provision for mental health outpatient treatment. Generally this requires a co-pay determined by the type of plan you have. Some insurance benefit plans will authorize a certain number of outpatient sessions at a specific rate in which no co-pay is necessary. Please check with your insurance carrier to determine exactly what your plan covers and to verify that we are in your provider network. Payment of your co-pay is expected at the time of your treatment session. You can pay by check, cash or credit card.

Will I see a psychiatrist?
Not necessarily. Not all mental health issues require psychiatrist intervention. Therapy may be the most appropriate treatment intervention. Generally, you will see one of our therapists who will take a mental health history and develop a treatment plan. This plan may include involving a psychiatrist or our advance practice nurse if futher evaluation is necessary, such as medication needs.
The first appointment usually occurs within one week of the call. In the event of a crisis, we will see you the day you call. The wait for seeing our advance practice nurse or psychiatrist is longer, but we will do everything possible to work you in if necessary.
Do you treat alcohol and drug problems?
Yes. We have a therapist with several years experience working with persons with abuse and addiction problems caused by alcohol and drugs. The treatment intervention generally is attending group therapy three times weekly two hours each, and may include management of outpatient detox under the direction of our addictionist. Attending Alcohol Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings is highly recommended and may be required as a part of the treatment plan.
What services do you provide?
We treat a wide array of mental health related problems including anxiety, depression, major mood disorders, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), job related issues, interpersonal relationship issues and marital problems. Do you provide inpatient hospitalization services?
No, but if psychiatric hospitalization was indicated, we would advise you to go to an emergency room or a hospital covered by your health insurance for further evaluation.
Is my treatment confidential?
Ensuring confidential treatment in the privacy of our offices is strictly enforced and is governed by our adherence to the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
